Cognitive benefits of musical instrument learning in children for more than three years, supported by European research.
A study conducted by scholars in Europe has found that learning to play a musical instrument for more than three years can improve cognitive abilities in children compared to those who have not received any musical training. Researchers from Harvard Medical School and the Boston University School of Education found that children who have had at least three years of musical instrument training demonstrate superior auditory discrimination and finger dexterity, as well as better vocabulary and nonverbal reasoning abilities.
