We are grateful to assist you in pursuing your musical journey.
Our aim is to create and effectively communicate our policies in order to promote courtesy and fairness for students, parents, and teachers.
Tuition Fee
- – Tuition fees are time-based.
– Tuition payments are withdrawn between the 3rd and 7th of each month for the previous month’s lessons. An invoice for the Tuition will be sent via Whatsapp.
- – Any issues related to the invoice must be discussed prior to delivery of the tuition.
– Payment can be settled by cheque, bank transfer, FPS or via PayMe Link:

- By Cheque: Please make crossed cheques payable to “Music Universe Limited”. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted.
- By Bank Transfer: Please transfer to HSBC Bank account number: 582-626297-838
- (Account Name: Music Universe Limited). Please send a screenshot or copy of the bank-in slip for all bank transfer payments.
- By FPS: Please transfer to 5138200 (Account Name: Music Universe Limited)
Attendance
In the case of a teacher’s lateness, they will be required to make up for the missed class time on the same day or during the next scheduled lesson. We value your feedback and welcome any reasonable suggestions or requests regarding this matter. We will make every effort to make appropriate adjustments based on your input.
- At the convenience of students, teachers are required to complete the scheduled teaching hours if they are late.
*This policy is in place to uphold the commitment to both our clients and teachers and to ensure a fair and efficient scheduling system.*
Cancellations and Makeup Classes
- – No refunds are given for missed lessons with no reasons.
- – For any cancellations made within two hours before the start time, the tuition fee will still be charged.- Please note that refunds are not provided for missed lessons without valid reasons.- Your cooperation would be highly appreciated if you could inform us 24 hours in advance that you need to cancel a lesson.
– We understand that unforeseen circumstances may lead to sudden cancellations. However, it is important for us to ensure the instructors’ time is respected and protected as well. Therefore, any lessons canceled within two hours before the scheduled start time will still be included in the invoice.
- – Makeup lessons are subject to teacher availability and may be rescheduled for the Zoom platform if necessary.
- – If there is a need to prepare for any level exams, competitions, or performances, we can arrange additional classes to provide students with more learning and practice opportunities to help them prepare effectively.
- – We highly recommend scheduling makeup lessons if a student is unable to attend class due to participation in other activities. The systematic learning process is crucial during childhood for musical education, as it can significantly impact a student’s ability to master an instrument within a limited timeframe.
- NOTE: If a student cancels their make-up lesson, no further make-up lesson will be scheduled.
Ceasing Lessons
We would greatly appreciate it if you could notify us 2 weeks in advance before any class suspension. This will allow us to better adjust the teaching plan and schedule for our teachers. Whether you are leaving Hong Kong or discontinuing the lessons for any other reason, we warmly welcome you to return in the future and continue the musical journey with us.
Results of Music Examinations, Assessments and/or Competitions
- – Please note that fees paid for music examinations, assessments, and/or competitions, as well as tuition for lessons that may involve preparation for such events, are non-refundable.
- – If any party considers the results of these examinations, assessments, and/or competitions unsatisfactory, we may add courses or adjust the teaching content for you based on your goals and needs.
- – Your satisfaction and progress are our top priorities, and we are here to support you in achieving your desired outcomes.
Communication Methods
- We need to keep a record of any adjustments and changes to the classes. If there is a need to change the class schedule, please contact us through the company’s WhatsApp account to avoid making private arrangements with the teacher.
- To enhance the quality of teaching, if you have any questions or feedback regarding the classes, please feel free to contact us. We will provide timely answers and responses to address your concerns and suggestions.
Teaching Materials
If any learning materials are required during the teaching process, such as textbooks, workbooks, practice papers, etc., we will make every effort to provide them based on the students’ needs. The corresponding costs will be clearly listed on the monthly invoice. If you have any questions, please feel free to inquire at any time.
Special Needs/Access
If you or your child has any special needs, please contact us at +852 5138-2000 or via cs@musicuniverse.hk. Our teachers possess the ability, responsibility, and patience to handle students with special needs. Out of our professionalism and respect, student privacy will be strictly maintained. If there are specific areas that require special attention, such as cultural background or religious beliefs, parents are encouraged to inform us at any time.
We will make every effort to accommodate your needs. Music Universe is committed to accommodating differences so that the music is accessible to all.
Media Awareness and Consent
- – We are proud of our students’ accomplishments as they make progress in their music classes. To showcase how well they are doing we may take pictures or videos during lessons, recitals, or other Music Institute related events.
- – We sometimes post pictures of students on our website, social media sites, and printed publications. We want you to be aware of this and rest assured that pictures and videos are not used for any purpose except to encourage others, assess progress, and promote our music studio.
- – By completing this registration you are granting permission for this purpose, however if you would like to opt out of this and request that we do not take and/or publish photos or videos of your student.

Tropical Cyclone Warning
Signal No.1
– All classes will proceed as normal.
Signal No.3
– Pre-school and kindergarten students may cancel private classes free of charge with at least an hour’s notice.
– All group classes will proceed as normal, unless otherwise notified via WhatsApp or calling two hours before class.
– All classes will proceed as normal for primary and secondary school students and above.
Signal No.8 and above
– All classes will be cancelled and/or rearranged free of charge. Classes will resume two hours after the Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 is cancelled or reduced to a lower signal.
– All rescheduled classes shall take place at a time and date prescribed by Music Universe. If students cannot attend the rescheduled classes at the given times, then there will be no additional re-scheduling or refund for the classes.
Rainstorm Warning Signal
Amber Rainstorm Signal
– All classes will proceed as normal.
Red Rainstorm Signal
– Preschool and kindergarten students may cancel private classes free of charge with at least an hour’s notice.
– All group classes will proceed as normal, unless otherwise notified via WhatsApp or calling two hours before class.
– All classes will proceed as normal for primary and secondary school students and above.
Black Rainstorm Signal
– All classes will be canceled and/or rearranged free of charge. Classes will resume two hours after the Black Rainstorm Warning is cancelled or lowered.
– All rescheduled classes shall take place at a time and date prescribed by Music Universe. If students cannot attend the rescheduled classes at the given times, then there will be no additional re-scheduling or refund for the classes.
We reserve the right to amend the policy without further notice.
